Gmc Sierra 3rd Brake Light Not Working

If your third brake light works either way but the rear brake lights stop working when the truck is on its a faulty ground wire to the stop lamp relay.

I checked the following fuses for current. 3rd brake light and cargo lights not working. I think they are supposed to. Feb 23 2014 3 08am.

Remove the screws from the bulb lens which you can access through the trunk or see your vehicle repair manual to get the exact location. Third brake light not working. I can not interpret fues box lables to check fuses. The two bulbs under the dash do not. None of the lights come on when i open my doors. I m not sure if it s the switches in the door jamb a fuse or what.

If electrical current is reaching the switch but the lights are not working even if the switch is in good condition follow the current flow with your test light to the stop lamps and look for a possible open or short in the circuit.
